I love the "circumstantiality" that happens on Internet, and especially when it comes to RSS feeds. By circumstantiality (yes, it is a word) I mean the feeling that a bunch of people out there are thinking the same little thing you are, at pretty much the same time. I suspect there is some kind of rule along the lines of "6 degrees of separation" (or if you live in Winipeg, 2 degrees), so if someone has put that down in bytes/paper somewhere let me know :-)
Anyhoo...that was prompted by the discovery of the Bookforum where Robert S. Boynton discusses the current copyright dysfunction(s). He also refers to digital environmentalism - "the movement that is fashioning a new understanding of what the public domain — the "commons," as Boyle and others have called it—might be". Oh yea: the circumstantiality was that I had just sent an order for 2 of the books featured in this Bookforum, like (as my daughter says), 1 hour, like (again and again), before, like (enough already with the likes!)! Read this article, read these books, get environmental.
