UPEI Goes Live with Evergreen

Hey, what happened to Posts #5 and #6? They're coming, I started them last week, but didn't get a chance to finish them :-)

I was traveling in Texas last week, meeting with the good folks at UNT and giving the keynote at the Texas Digital Library Conference. A great bunch of people and a good conference. Thanks for the invite Cathy and Bill.

While I was away UPEI went live with our new Evergreen installation - right on schedule on Wednesday June 4th (also my son's birthday - what a day!). The crew at UPEI did an awesome job (more on this is the next week or so), as did Dan and Equinox: thanks everybody! I even had some people in Texas ask about it, so I guess word travels fast out there ;-) We are calling the new Evergreen installation IslandPines, cause we will be adding some additional Island libraries to the family soon - more about this soon! I love open source...
