Anita Shreve also wrote The Weight of Water, which I enjoyed, and was made into a movie, which I have not seen.

Dr Christine Challen

I have just finished Light On Snow a wonderful book it really touched every aspect of emotions I really felt for both the Father and daughter who found the baby as you really felt they so desperately wanted to keep the baby but they couldn't. Anita Shreve made you feel their sense of loss losing a wife/mother and child/siste in every way and like Carolyn says the landscape descriptions were wonderful. I could not put this book down and I hope Anita Shreve is recommended for an award for this just excellent and a very very worthy read Christine
