Are you shooting yourself in the foot?

The whole point of OLAF is to provide a framework that you can plug and play different components of the traditional ILS. Are you now dictating a specific cataloging tool?

There are many different cataloguing tools around from various company and OSS projects that support different types of cataloguing and different types of material in different languages. Surely we're never going to find one that does everything.

So, why don't we focus OLAF on the integration framework and leave the details to the various groups responsible.



I agree re leaving something like OLAF to the framework and not worry about the specifics. I was suggesting Mozile as an interesting example of something that could be used for this function. The whole idea is to let people use the tools or components that make sense for their circumstances.
